Open Question: In Malachi, doesn’t the LORD promise that his messenger will purify the Levites and allow future sacrifices?
Why then do Christians say that Jesus was the last sacrifice? Here the Lord says that the messenger will allow the Jews to correctly sacrifice (animals) in the future at the Temple in Jerusalem, and that He (the LORD) will accept them. That doesn’t seem to mean and end to earthly sacrifices to me.

Mal 3:4 Then once more the LORD will accept the offerings brought to Him by the people of Judah and Jerusalem, as He did in the past.
